Requirements: View

In this experiment, students will learn the powers that are associated with three-phase AC circuits. Using the LabVIEW simulations provided, students will investigate different power measurement techniques used in three-phase circuits. The three different setups used in this experiment involve one, two and three wattmeters, respectively.

Prior to the lab, the instructor should introduce the relationships between voltage, current and power in three-phase systems. Students should also have a good understanding of delta-star configurations and how three-phase circuits work.
