This VI shows how to apply the Hilbert Transform to find the envelope of a time-domain signal with a simulated signal. Applications for this operation include estimating the decay rate of an impulse in the time domain and the propigation time estimation. For the Latter, you might measure a signal at two points, calculate the cross correlation of those two measurements and then use the Hilbert transform as shown in this example to find the envelope of the cross.
