Programmatically Rebooting or Restarting an RT Series PXI Controller

In the VI library below, there is a VI called Reboot system.vi. You can run this VI on either a Host PC or the RT Engine itself to reboot the RT Engine programmatically. All you need to provide for the VI is the RT Series PXI Controller's serial number, and its IP address. You can determine both these values in MAX (Measurement and Automation Explorer.) Note that the Mac Address is the item that should be used for the serial number control on the attached VIs.
Use Reboot System 6i.llb for LabVIEW Real-Time 6i, and use Reboot System 61.llb for LabVIEW Real-Time 6.1.
Note: For FP-RT Users: To find the Mac Address go to FP Explorer and right-click on the Comm Resource and select Edit this Comm Resource from the shortcut menu. Click Browse... to open the Remote System Explorer. Right-click on the Device you want and select Configure Device from the shortcut menu. The Mac Address will be visible in the System tab.
