I. Description:

This example demonstrates how to control relays while the program is running. In this example, the default values allow the user to manually control all relays with the prefix KA for an SCXI-1193 in the switch diagram while the VI is running.

II. Instructions for Running:

To make this example work with your switch, complete the following:
1 - Change Switch Resource Name and Topology Name as necessary.
2 - Change Relay Set Prefix to represent a set of valid relays on the switch module.
3 - Change Relay Set Values to choose whether to open or close the relay.

Refer to the NI Switches Help for the valid relay names and valid resource names for your switch module.

III. Block Diagram Steps:

1 - Open session to switch module and set topology.
2 - Open or close the relay if the user has changed the state of the switch.
3 - Wait for the relay to activate and debounce.
4 - Close session to switch module.
5 - Display errors (if any).

IV. I/O Connections Overview:

Refer to the NI Switches Getting Started Guide and NI Switches Help for information about connecting signals to your switch module.
