The LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisory Control Module 6.1 ships with a new feature that allows you to organize your historical data in Data Sets. A Data Set is group of tag values that are logged together during some finite time period. A data set might cover a batch of some sort and contain all the values generated during a single execution of a batch process. For more information on Data Sets click on the link below.

This example shows how to use the Data Set Logger VIs to retrieve data organized in the data sets. The example usage is self-explanatory. The diagram contains a lot of comments. Beware, this example also uses new LabVIEW feature called event structures. You can learn more about the event structures from the LabVIEW Help (select VI and Function Reference»Structures»Event Structure).

It is important to have some data sets in your database to actually see the utility working. If your database does not contain any data sets, use the database attached in this document.
