This example includes a LabWindows/CVI program that demonstrates reading and writing to the parallel port using low-level port access inp and outp functions. The example also includes a freeware parallel port monitoring utility called Parmon. For more information about the PC parallel port, refer to Application Note 62 on the National Instruments Developers Zone (see link below).

This example also includes a Visual Basic program that uses the Windows SDK Toolhelp32ReadProcessMemory function to obtain the parallel port address programmatically. Refer to the Microsoft Developer Network (see link below) for Platform SDK information and support.

Finally, this example also includes a LabVIEW 5.0 program, which uses the In Port and Out Port VIs to access the parallel port.
