Querying Citadel Database and Exporting Data to Excel

In this example, values from a Pot are logged into the Citadel database. The values are retrieved using an SQL query within a DataTable (Table1) object. The example process allows the user to specify the start and the stop time from the control panel itself, without having to modify the query each time. Another DataTable (Table2) is also populated with the queried results. These two DataTables are linked through DDE. The second DataTable is created so that the queried values can then be exported to an XLS file.

How to set up the example:

1) Create a new ODBC Data Source Name pointing to the Citadel database folder (an example Citadel database is zipped in the attachment). Refer to the "Setting up Lookout's Citadel Database as an ODBC Data Source" (LINKED BELOW) for more information on creating the data source.

2) Follow the instructions in the Readme.doc file zipped in the attachment.
