Adding a DC Offset to Video Lines

Use this example to modify a standard NI-Video image waveform so you can test a Video DC restore system. In video applications, DC restoration moves the backporch or black level of a video waveform to a fixed DC reference.

The VI opens an NI-Video file waveform and adds an offset voltage to each line in the video waveform. You select a voltage increment, and a maximum positive and negative voltage offset. The VI automatically increases the offset by the desired increment by each line sequentially until it reaches the maximum positive offset. At this point, the VI starts decreasing the offset by the desired increment until it reaches the maximum negative offset.

You are then prompted to save the new NI-Video binary waveform file for later use. You can easily modify the VI to be included in a higher lever VI to modify waveform files as they are opened and downloaded.
