This data format is defined by SEG Technical Standards Committee. It is a common seismic data acquisition format. Many seismic measurement hardware are able to write these files.
Supported Features
- SEG Y Format Revision 1.0 (May 2002)
- Provides "4-byte IBM Floating point" and "2-byte, two's complement integer" data sample format codes.
- Display of Textual File Header (custom property "TextHeader") in a DIAdem VIEW text box.
- Display the Binary File Header in the Data Portal Properties Window.
- Display optional Extended File Headers (custom property "ExtendedTextualFileHeader") in a DIAdem VIEW text box.
- Provides "4-byte, two's complement integer"
- Group- and Source coordinates corrected to degrees
- Channel time base correction and transformed into waveforms
Non-Supported Features:
- Variable number of "Extended Textual File Headers" (if bytes 3505 and 3506 have the value -1).
- Channels are not arranged into ensembles/groups.
