Am9513: Generating a Delayed Pulse (Easy-Level VIs)
Downloads
Filename: delayed_pulse-easy__9513_.zip
Requirements: View
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Enter the device number of your board.
2. Enter the counter number.
3. Enter the pulse delay in seconds.
4. Enter the pulse width in seconds.
5. Choose the pulse polarity.
6. Make the appropriate I/O connections as explained below.
7. Run the VI.
KEY PARAMETERS:
This VI uses the Easy level Generate Delayed Pulse.vi to produce a single delayed pulse on the chosen counter. The Wait+ (ms).vi is used as a delay before the counter is reset. Finally, the Counter Stop.vi resets the counter.
If the pulse delay or width is zero, a very short delay or width is computed.
The "actual width" and "actual delay" outputs may differ from your desired inputs because they are integer multiples of an internal timebase. It may be that your exact desired delay or width cannot be obtained.
I/O CONNECTIONS:
Connect to the OUT pin of your chosen counter for the finite pulse train.
If you choose a timebase source other than internal, wire your external clock to the SOURCE input of the chosen counter.
If you choose a gate mode other than ungated, wire your external gate signal to the GATE pin of your chosen counter.
To find the actual pin numbers, refer to the hardware user manual.
DAQ VIs USED:
Generate Delayed Pulse.vi, Counter Stop.vi.
