SCXI and NI-DAQ Series: SCXI Strain - Null and Shunt Calibration

Here is a short description of this program. Please refer to the code for full documentation. This program performs both a strain null and a shunt calibration on the SCXI-1520. It then displays:
1) nulled voltage and strain to standard out.
2) voltages and strains measured for shunt calibration on a graph.
This program can null up to four channels using the software controlled potentiometers built into the SCXI-1520. This is a true hardware null and you can compensate for the residual offset in software; however, there is no real need to compensate in software after performing the null, because the residual offset is usually in the microvolt range.
This program can shunt calibrate up to four channels using the socketed shunt calibration resistor A (SCA) in the SCXI-1314 terminal block. The SCA must connect across R2 as indicated in the pictures for a strain gauge virtual channel in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX). This is usually indicated as the bottom right resistor in a Wheatstone bridge.
You must make any connections for shunt calibration resistors for an SCXI-1520 on the terminal block from the SCA or SCB terminals to the bridge element that you want to shunt. Also you must make the shunt connection for every channel individually.
Acquisition of data points for verifying the null calibration and performing the shunt calibration are done with a single buffered acquisition using internal scan and sample timing.
