This example shows how to get a list with the names of all the types (step types and data types) used by a Sequence File. It also shows how to programmatically change the version of a TestStand type.

Note: TestStand 2.x does not allow to change the version of NI Installed types. Attempting to do so will result in a run-time error.

Do the following to run this example:
- Unzip the attached file and run the MainSequence in the "Get Type Names List and Set Type Version.seq"

- When prompted, select a sequence file. For example, you can select the other sequence file in the zip file named "SequenceFile with Custom Types.seq". This sequence file has a custom data type named "MyCustomDataType" and a custom step type named "MyCustomStepType". It also contains some NI Installed types (e.g. PassFailTest).

- A message pop-up appears listing the names of all the types in the selected sequence file and asking you to type in the name of a type to read. If you selected the "SequenceFile with Custom Types.seq", type in the name of any of the custom types in it (i.e. "MyCustomStepType" or "MyCustomDataType").

- Another message pop-up appears showing you the current version of the TestStand type you selected and asking you for a new version for it. The example finally changes the version of the type and shows you the new version that was given to the selected TestStand type.
