NI-DAQmx Events: M Series Change Detection
Hardware Requirements
-----------------------------
Any M Series board and an external digital connection to monitor.
-----------------------------
VI Description
-----------------------------
This example shows how to use an M Series multi-function DAQ board and DAQmx Events to execute code upon a digital change detection event.
In order to function, this example requires both LabVIEW 8.0 and NI-DAQmx 8.0 or later. Change Detection was not supported for M Series prior to NI-DAQmx 8.0
Port 0 of the M Series board must be used for the Change Detection Lines.
-----------------------------
Block Diagram Steps
-----------------------------
1. Create a Digital Input Channel using the indicated Digital Input Lines
2. Configure the task for Change Detection Timing with the indicated Change Detection Lines
3. Register the "Signal" DAQmx Event for the Change Detection Event Signal Type.
4. Start the task.
5. Display current Changes Detected count
6. Increment the Changes Detected count in the case of a Change Detection Event occurrence.
7. Clear the task and handle any errors.
