Improved Strain Shunt Calibration Examples
These LabVIEW Examples are based off the Shunt Calibration LabVIEW shipping examples, but they add the ability to individually select which channel(s) in a task to perform a shunt calibration. This makes these VIs a perfect complement to the DAQmx Perform Bridge Offset Null Function, which also allows you to choose channel(s) from within a task to calibrate. This is a useful feature for applications that have mixed channel types in a task, or applications that don't require all strain gages in a task to be shunt calibrated.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Extract all four files to a folder of your choice.
2. Open one of these two example programs, which are based on LabVIEW shipping examples and use the new shunt calibration subVIs instead:
- Cont Acq Strain Samples (with Calibration) - SCXI 1521_select_chans.vi
- Cont Acq Strain Samples (with Calibration)_select_chans.vi
3. The Shunt Calibration SubVIs that you can use in your own application are located in these two libraries:
- SCXI Shunt Cal Channels.llb
- SCXI Bridge Shunt Cal (map chans).llb
4. Copy the VI library that you plan on using to the same folder as your application, and use the top-level VI as the subVI in your app.
