Learn how TClk synchronization integrates the 10 MHz backplane clock, PXI trigger lines, and onboard trigger clock to synchronize measurements. In addition, see how it automatically configures using the three TClk VIs. With a PXI arbitrary waveform generator, this program generates a sine wave. Then two PXI digitizers sample the signal. Finally, the program computes the phase and timing difference between the signals from the digitizers.

This example was useful in measuring the synchronization separation (in picosecs) for the board set (NI PCI 5124) when modified to use an external clock (e.g. not PXI boards). This example does not help with manual adjustment to adjust synchronization. The example showed a sync difference of ~500 ps. According to the documentation this can be manually adjusted to ~10 ps.
