This VI demonstrates how to use the registry key functions in LabVIEW 6i to programmatically change the NI-DAQ configuration file used by Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX). Currently the VI uses a dialog box to allow the user to choose the configuration file. However, the VI could be modified to always choose the same configuration file as long as the file path is known. This is useful for application developers who wish to send a configuration file along with their executable, because it will remove the necessity of the end user setting a configuration file in MAX.
