This DataPlugin supports reading / importing of Origin ASCII files.

This format is written by Origin from OriginLab Corporation with the "Export ASCII" function.

Supported Features

  • Supported delimiters are "Tab", "Comma", "Space".
  • The header can contain the channel names and/or channel labels. If there is one line with text, the DataPlugin assumes that this line contains the channel names. For two lines with text, the DataPlugin assumes that the first line contains the channel names and the second line contains the channel labels. If channel labels exist, they are assigned to channel descriptions.

Non-Supported Features

  • The combined delimiter ",Tab" is not supported. If ",Tab" is used, the file is rejected.

 FILE EXTENSION:  *.TXT; *.CSV; *.DAT
