Input Latching on the [c]FP-DIO-550

Each input channel of the [c]FP-DIO-550 can be configured to operate in either standard mode or latch mode. In standard mode, the channel returns a value of TRUE when the input is high and FALSE when the input is low. In latch mode, the channel latches to one value when it detects a specific input state and retains that value until the channel is reset.
Using this VI, you select the input mode and control the state of an output channel wired directly to an input channel. An LED on the front panel indicates the value returned by the input channel.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Externally wire an output channel of the [c]FP-DIO-550 to an input channel.
2. Create tags in MAX for the Channel Attribute "Input Mode" and for the Channel Command "Reset Latch" for the input channel.
a. In MAX, navigate to the Channel Configuration tab of the [c]FP-DIO-550.
b. Select "Input Mode" in the Channel Attributes panel, and click Create Item.
c. Verify that "Reset Latch" is selected in the Channel Commands panel, and click Create Item.
d. Save the .iak file.
3. On the block diagram of the VI, browse to the tags for the input and output channels and for the Input Mode and Reset Latch functions.
4. Run the VI.
5. Use the LED on the left to control the VI.
a. In Standard Digital Input mode, the Input LED matches the Output LED.
b. In Latch TRUE on High mode, the LED remains lit once it is set high until it is reset.
c. In Latch FALSE on Low mode, the LED remains off once it is set low until it is reset.
