will not work on Win2k and up!
This is fine on Win98 or previous. Win2k, XP and future will not allow direct access to ports. According to Jeffrey Travis, there should be a way to use NI VI for serial I/O with port address 10 or 11 for accessing LPT1 or LPT2 respectively? Has anybody had experience with that? Also, I would like to use the 4 input lines of printer status port for 4-bit input!
