Certain applications calls for a device to wait on an analog trigger that may or may not occur. For instance, a DAQ device may be programmed to monitor an analog line for several hours and capture data when the analog level passes a threshold value. The user may wish to stop the VI without the DAQ device ever having received the trigger. If the DAQ device is told to wait indefinitely for the trigger (no timeout) then there is no way to stop the VI without aborting. This is highly undesirable.
This example VI has a short timeout and then removes the timeout error when it occurs to allow the VI to continue to run while also allowing the user to stop the VI at will. If an error other than the timeout error occurs then the VI will stop as normal.

acquisition with USB-6259
I use the example here with NI USB-6259 BNC. It has intermal clock working at 80MHz. That should provide time accuracy of 12.5ps? I want to use external digital signal at 500kHz to trigger acquisition into 2 channels. Channel one should sample with a delay after trigger, adjustable within 0.5us-1.5us. Channel two should sample with a different delay after trigger adjustable within1.5-2us. Is that doable with NI USB-6259 and standart DAQmx functions? Can someone suggest a link to an example? Thank you in advance,
