This VI measures the total period of a programmable number of rising edges. Divide the programmed count by the period to determine the frequency. To run this VI, enter the desired number of rising edges that you wish to count.
Instructions for running:
1. Create a new LabVIEW project.
2. Add a NI-IMAQ I/O FPGA target to the project.
3. Add the example VI under your FPGA target.
4. Open the VI from the project.
5. Enter a value in the Edges to Count control and run the VI.
Note:
To make this VI hardware specific add this VI to your NI-IMAQ I/O FPGA target in your LabVIEW project and replace the Input 0 boolean control with a FPGA I/O Node.
