Question 30
Regarding question 30; the correct answer is, “Tab Delimited Text File”. The question specifically states, “When storing data for use by other engineers”. When you generate data for other people you should make that data as easy as possible for them to read. Requiring your customers to perform more steps than necessary, to read the data is rude, inefficient, and lazy. Excel imports, “Tab Delimited Text Files” without, “Free ad-ins” If you know your customers are using the data in Excel you should go the extra step, and convert the data to Excel for them, but that was not one of the distracters. If you really need the precision, or you have vast amounts of data that will need sophisticated data processing; then that is a different matter all together, and your customer will have very specific requirements for the data format.

The online exam application is highly unreliable. A command button click doesn't trigger an action most of the time; and the application appears to be lagging. Only the score, not the solution for the exam is provided so it's hard to tell the right answer from the all the incorrect answers. Please make the online test more user friendly and responsive if the intention is to provide training for the people who want to include Labview in their tool kit.

question 30 should be answer
Answer C (TDM) should be the correct answer because 1) It allows better precision. 2) It is still being discussed on NI's website (as recently as June '08) as a better solution. 3) There is a free add-in for both Microsoft Exelc and Open Office Scalc. 4). If this is not the correct answer then it should not have been one of the rather misleading choices.
