NI-FGEN Stream from Disk Using Win32 File IO
Overview
The basic and advanced examples below show how to continuously stream new data from disk to an Arbitrary Waveform Generator while the device is generating. This example is intended to be used for generating quantities of data that are significantly larger than the onboard memory. Benchmarks with the recommended hardware below have been at 114 MB/s of data streamed from disk.
NI Recommended Hardware:

- Addonics eSATA 4-drive RAID (ST5X1PM-4)
- ExpressCard34 to eSATA Adapter (ADEXC34R5-2E)
Software:
- NI-FGEN 2.4.5 or above
