Synchronizing an NI-446x with an M-Series DAQ Device While Using Different Sampling Rates
Overview
This example demonstrates how to synchronize a DSA NI-446x and M-Series device while using different sampling rates on each device. NI 446x and M-Series devices can both use PLL circuitry to synchronize their timebases with the PXI_Clk10 signal. This example will only work with PXI devices and the PXI chassis must be identified in MAX.

Utilizing the 446x and M-Series PLL circuitry allows the DSA device to acquire at its maximum sampling rate. When choosing sample rates and block sizes for this example, try to keep the amount of time it takes to acquire data from each device very similar. For example, if you want to sample at 20kS/s on the DSA board and at 80kS/s on the M-Series board, make sure that the block size used for the M-Series board is 4x the size of the 446x block size. This will help your program avoid buffer overflows.
