Overview

This example shows how to do a continuous buffered digital event counter that has a pause trigger.

This example performs a continuous buffered digital event counting with a pause trigger.  This is done by generating a sample clock with another counter configured to generate a continuous pulse train with a pause trigger.  Since samples are only acquired when the sample clock is being generated, when the pause trigger is activated samples are no longer buffered.  This accomplishes our desired measurement. 

The attached example shows how to do this with NI-DAQmx.  View the block diagram of the example to get more information on the exact programming process and flow.
