Overview

Signal Processing Resource Center » Vision Development Module Image Processing Examples » Geometric Matching Example

This example shows how to use the geometric matching tools in NI Vision. Geometric matching is the technique used to quickly locate known reference or fiducial patterns in an image using edge information. Geometric matching is the key to many applications. Geometric matching can provide your application with information about the presence or absence, number, and location of the model within an image. An important step in geometric matching is training the template. A specialized geometric training interface is provided for simple training with advanced features. This utility can be found at Start » Programs » National Instruments » Vision, or from Vision Assistant or Vision Builder for Automated Inspection.
