This example shows an inspection task where the objective is to determine if a screw has been correctly inserted into a fixture. The inspection task is performed using edge detection. By performing an edge detection along a line placed close to the tip of the screw when it is correctly inserted, the presence or absence of detected edge points can be used to determine if the screw has been correctly inserted.
