cRIO Acceleration and Strain Data Logger Reference Example
Overview
CompactRIO embedded data logger
- 4 channels of acceleration (10kS/s)
- 4 channels of strain (10kS/s)

Filename: crioembeddedlogger.zip
This example data logger program is written for CompactRIO, but the architecture can be used with any embedded LabVIEW target.
This application is configured for the following:
Hardware:
cRIO 9014
cRIO 9103
NI 9233
NI 9237
Software:
LabVIEW 8.5
LabVIEW Real-Time 8.5
LabVIEW FPGA 8.5
NI RIO 2.3
This application acquires 4 channels of acceleration and 4 channels of strain, both at 10kS/s. The data is written to file on the CompactRIO internal Flash (2GB on the cRIO 9015).
The data can then be retrieved using an FTP client, such as Windows Explorer.
The example also includes a data viewer with functionality to export the data to Excel readable .CSV files.
See the tutorial video included in the .ZIP file for an overview of the application.
**The accompanying code represents a very specific use case for NI products. For more general examples, please refer to ni.com/examples, the LabVIEW Example Finder, or the NI driver help files that come with every NI driver.

Very good example. Lots ogood features for
controlling DIP switch activity for embedded
logging. I ported it onto my CRIO but I had a
number of issues especially with the RT vi
tripping up with error -2206 RT FIFO Read
error - RT FIFO does not exist.
