This DataPlugin supports reading / importing of DBF files written by e.g dBase, Paradox, FoxPro, Clipper, ...

 

Note: In case the Borland Database Engine (BDE) is installed on your computer linked dBASE and Paradox files can not be opened by the plugin. This issue can be resolved as discussed within this Microsoft article.


Note: dBase DBF files not following the 8.3 naming convention cannot be read using dBASE ISAM. Install the newest version of the Borland Database Engine (BDE) in this case. BDE can be installed from http://info.borland.com/devsupport/bde/bdeupdate.html. The whole issue is discussed within this Microsoft article.
