This DataPlugin Example shows how to create a DataPlugin to read Microsoft Excel and OpenOffice Calc spreadsheets.
This DataPlugin Example uses the 'Workbook' object of the DataPlugin interface. The 'Workbook' object allows to directly read Microsoft Excel and OpenOffice Calc spreadsheet files without having Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc installed on that computer. To learn more about how to develop a DataPlugin, please refer to the DataPlugin Programmer's Reference.
Note: To use DataPlugins utilizing the 'Workbook' object with LabVIEW 2010 and DataFinder Server Edition 2010 you need to have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 or higher installed on that computer. See "Using the 'Workbook' object with LabVIEW 2010 and DataFinder Server Edition 2010" for details.
Note: Use the TDM Excel Add-In to directly work with TDM and TDMS files in Microsoft Excel.
