This DataPlugin supports reading / importing of ATML 5.0 data.


The Automatic Test Markup Language (ATML) is an emerging XML-based standard for ATE (Automated Test Equipment) and test information data exchange.
ATML 5.0 is used by NI TestStand, a ready-to-run test management environment for organizing, controlling, and executing automated test systems, for the ATML TestResults report. More details on how ATML can be used in NI TestStand can be found here.


Supported Features

  • Reads waveform channels
  • Contains the element "TestResultsCollection"
  • Supports UUT, TestSequence and TestStep elements
  • Supports parameters StepName; StepReferenceID; TestDataValue; TestStepType; Channel; WaveformChannel


Please use the ATML 1.0 DataPlugin for ATML 1.0 files written by TestStand 3.5.
Please use the ATML_2_0 DataPlugin for ATML 2.0 files.

Update Information:
  • Latest version now creates a waveform channel for each "c:Collection" in "tr:SessionAction", instead of for a fixed format (recursive).
  • Complete overhaul of mapping between ATML_5 and TDM. Added several new properties to improve data retrieval.
