Switch Tachometer
Overview
In a switch tachometer, a periodical breaking and closure of electrical contacts are provided by a cam or an eccentric disk fixed on the rotating shaft and controlling the operation of the contacts through a mechanical link. The number of closures of the electrical contacts is proportional to the speed.
