Unbonded Strain Gage Accelerometer
Overview
A unbonded strain-gage accelerometer contains pretensioned strain-gage wires supporting a seismic mass. Together with special springs, the wires provide an elastic suspension of the mass and, being deformed by the acceleration, they form an electrical signal proportional to the acceleration. The wires can be connected in a half-bridge or full-bridge circuit.
