New USB Digitizers – Portable, Bus-Powered, and Low-Cost
National Instruments is expanding the performance and capabilities of portable instrumentation with new USB digitizers. The NI USB-5132/33 8-bit digitizers/oscilloscopes feature 50 and 100 MS/s sampling rates, respectively, on two simultaneously sampled channels with 10 input ranges from 40 mVpp to 40 Vpp and programmable DC offset. The new USB digitizers also come with 8 MB of onboard memory for measurements requiring extended data captures. These bus-powered, plug-and-play digitizers are ideal for portable, benchtop, and OEM applications.

The new NI digitizers extend portable USB instrumentation for increased performance and more capabilities.
NI software also adds ease of use to the new digitizers. The NI-SCOPE driver is shipped with these devices and includes a soft front panel, which provides an interactive interface similar to conventional oscilloscopes with more than 40 built-in measurements, and the driver installs more than 50 prewritten example programs that illustrate the full functionality of any NI digitizer. You also can use the new USB digitizers with NI LabVIEW SignalExpress software to acquire data, perform measurements, and drag and drop data into Microsoft Excel in a few simple mouse clicks with no programming required. The driver also works with LabVIEW, LabWindows™/CVI, and Microsoft Visual Studio (C++, C#, and Visual Basic .NET).
