New Complete NI Stepper Motion System

With two new high-power stepper drives and a range of high-torque stepper motors from National Instruments, you now can easily integrate precision motion control into your NI LabVIEW, C, or Microsoft Visual Basic applications. The new drives easily connect to NI motion controllers including PCI, PXI/CompactPCI, and NI CompactRIO, and they offer high performance and easy configuration. Selecting the right motor and drive combination for your application is easy with free downloadable sizing software.

Add precision motion to your LabVIEW, C, or Visual Basic applications using the complete, high-performance stepper motion system from National Instruments.

 

The new stepper drives are available in AC- and DC-powered versions. For ease of use, the AC-powered drive offers an integrated power supply with selectable 110 or 240 VAC input options and 525 W output. For machines with limited space, the DC-powered drive provides a smaller package with 300 W output. Both drives can be panel-mounted and deliver precision motion with microstepping up to 50,000 steps/revolution, midband resonance filters, and motor-stall detection.

 

NI offers stepper motors in National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA)-standard sizes with various torque and single- or dual-shaft options. By combining the new drives and motors with high-performance NI motion controllers, which include a patented step-generation algorithm for smoother motion, you can quickly build your high-precision stepper motion system.

Too many boxes
I would not consider this system because it has too many boxes. The clutter from new systems like this is just overwhelming.
