The Best Data-Logging Software You Didn’t Know You Owned

NI LabVIEW SignalExpress is an interactive software tool for quickly automating simple data-logging and instrument control applications. Available in English, French, German, and Japanese, LabVIEW SignalExpress offers a nonprogramming, drag-and-drop approach to acquiring data from hundreds of data acquisition devices, performing analysis tasks, and creating custom reports. With LabVIEW SignalExpress, you can quickly acquire live signals and generate functional LabVIEW code.

The latest version, LabVIEW SignalExpress 2.5, introduces several improvements, including the Project Analyzer, to help you identify and address common measurement mistakes. The analyzer quickly scans measurement tasks and identifies potential errors before data acquisition begins, helping you improve your measurement accuracy and avoid time-consuming debugging.

Log data from hundreds of data acquisition devices and generate LabVIEW code with a single mouse click using LabVIEW SignalExpress.

Five Reasons to Explore LabVIEW SignalExpress

1. Always on – While a LabVIEW SignalExpress project is running, you can add measurement tasks and change the parameters while results update immediately.

2. Plug-and-play data acquisition – When the USB cable of an NI CompactDAQ system is plugged in, LabVIEW SignalExpress automatically detects the device so you can instantly acquire real-world data.

3. Custom reporting – Drag your data into the “Documentation” view, and it continuously updates as you begin adding free-form text or pictures to your report. Right-click to either print the report or export it as an HTML file.

4. Exporting to Excel – Right-click any data and select “Export to Excel” to publish the data using Microsoft Excel. You also can drag and drop data into an open Excel worksheet.

5. LabVIEW integration – From the “Tools” menu, select “Generate LabVIEW Code” to convert your LabVIEW SignalExpress project into LabVIEW graphical code.

How to Get Started

Many LabVIEW users already own LabVIEW SignalExpress – the LabVIEW Full and Professional development systems include a LabVIEW SignalExpress license, and LabVIEW SignalExpress is also a part of NI Developer Suite. LabVIEW SignalExpress installs as part of the NI-DAQmx driver and can be licensed through the NI License Manager using a LabVIEW Full, LabVIEW Professional, or NI Developer Suite serial number.
