Obtaining administrator privileges in academic labs and as a guest user can be nearly impossible. With NI-DAQmx 8.6 driver software, you can use select USB data acquisition (DAQ) devices on Windows XP without requiring administrator privileges. You also can use any DAQ devices from NI without administrative rights on Windows Vista.
