New PXI embedded controllers deliver an optimal balance of performance and value.
The new NI PXI-8104 and PXI-8183 embedded controllers deliver proven performance for value-based test, measurement, and control applications. With these new controllers, you can use PXI systems for a variety of new applications in the consumer electronics, automotive, semiconductor, telecommunications, aerospace, and defense industries.
The PXI-8104 embedded controller is based on an Intel Celeron M 440 processor. With its 1.86 GHz processor and dual-channel, 533 MHz DDR2 memory, it offers a 41 percent performance improvement over its predecessor, the NI PXI-8195 controller. You can use the new controller to create a measurement or control solution that offers an optimal balance of performance and value.
The PXI-8183 is the lowest-cost Windows-based PXI embedded controller from NI at $1,499 USD; E1,349; and ¥204,000*, and it is ideal for high-volume OEM and industrial control applications. The 2-slot embedded controller features an 850 MHz Intel Celeron processor and provides a cost-effective and compact platform when combined with a 4- or 6-slot PXI chassis.
Build Deterministic, Real-Time Systems
The PXI-8104 and PXI-8183 controllers are also available in versions that support NI LabVIEW Real-Time and LabWindows™/CVI Real-Time software to deliver a flexible, rugged platform for deterministic and real-time measurement and control. With PXI-based real-time systems, you can use powerful PC processors, high-level software development tools, and off-the-shelf PXI I/O modules to quickly create and deploy systems in a variety of applications such as hardware-in-the-loop test, rapid control prototyping, and industrial measurement and control.
