Configuration Verification (Device and Interfaces)

Begin troubleshooting an NI-DAQ OPC server configuration in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX).

Test all your data acquisition devices in the Devices and Interfaces>>Traditional NI-DAQ Devices.

1. Right-click on the DAQ device entry and select Properties.



2. The property window lets you perform two tests: a system resource test, and a functional test. Click the Test Resources button first:



If the test is successful, you receive the following message:



3. If you do not receive this message, please refer to the NI-DAQ Troubleshooting Page, linked below.


4. Click the Run Test Panels button to open the test panel for this board:

5. Browse through the list of channels and make sure all of them are working. Pay special attention to the error indicator on the right side of the panel. If the indicator turns red, read the error code. Refer to the DAQ documentation and/or to the NI-DAQ Troubleshooting Page (linked below) for more information.
