Description

A sequence is a multibuffer acquisition mode that permits acquisition of a predefined number of images. You can configure a sequence to acquire every frame or to skip a predefined number of frames between each acquired image in the sequence.

Basic steps in programming a sequence are as follows:
  • Initialize the interface
  • Allocate and configure a list of buffers that will contain the results of a single acquisition of a series of image frames
  • Process and/or display the acquired images. In some environments, you may display all the acquired images in a browser window
  • Close the image acquisition session and free the memory allocated during the acquisition

    Common Applications

A sequence is useful for applications which need to capture a single event. Processing can be delayed until after the acquisition is complete. The acquisitions are often triggered by an external event. Examples include observing license plates of cars going through toll plazas, following the trajectory of a projectile, or capturing the response of a biological specimen to a stimulus.

What To Expect

Acquisition and display of a continuous or periodically sampled series of images.
