Single Pulse Generation (Software Start Trigger)
Description
Single pulse generation creates a single pulse after the counter is armed. Depending on the type of counter, it may be possible to specify the delay and pulse width.
Common Applications
8253 counters:
The 8253 counter (used on LabPC, 512, 700, and 1200 series) can generate a pulse with a specifiable delay (in units of source pulses). However, the width of the pulse is one source cycle. Use mode 4.

Mode 4 Timing Diagram
Am9513 based counters:
The Am9513 counters can generate a pulse with the delay and the width user-specifiable. Use CTR Pulse Config.vi or CTR_Pulse.
DAQ_STC based counters:
The DAQ_STC counters can generate a pulse with the delay and the width user-specifiable. See examples that ship with LabVIEW for detailed programming procedure.

Single Pulse Generation
The NI-TIO counters (presently used only on the PCI-6601/6602/6608 boards) can also generate pulses with specifiable delay and width. See examples that ship with LabVIEW for detailed programming procedure
