Trigger Each Buffer or Buffer List

Description

You can capture repetetive events that are not exactly timed by triggering your IMAQ device upon each occurrence of the event. There are two triggering modes that support this functionality:
    • Trigger each buffer--This trigger mode is similar to a ring acquisition that uses a buffer list, except that the acquisition is not continuous. Each buffer in the ring is acquired after your IMAQ device receives an external trigger.
    • Trigger each buffer list--This trigger mode also uses a buffer list, but behaves more like a repeated sequence acquisition. Each external trigger directs your IMAQ device to acquire an entire buffer list, after which the acquisition stops and your IMAQ device waits for another trigger. Use this trigger mode for repetitive events which are longer than a single frame in duration.

      Common Applications

  • Inspection of items on a conveyor belt
  • Image capture for security systems (capture one or several images of anyone entering a secured area)

    What To Expect

Capture, processing, and display of several images or sets of images synchronized with repetitive events.
