Description

Frame grabbers that support triggering usually provide the capability of outputting digital signals. Other devices can then use these signals for triggering, synchronization, or troubleshooting, or simply as a generic programmed digital I/O source.

Options for digital output signals include:
  • Disabled
  • Programmed (asserted/deasserted)
  • Acquisition in progress
  • Acquisition done
  • Pixel clock, horizontal sync, or vertical sync (PCLK, HSYNC, VSYNC)
  • Frame start
  • Frame done

    Common Applications

Triggering other devices, synchronizing cameras, and many miscellaneous control or indication functions.

What To Expect


The specified digital output signal is produced on the external trigger lines or RTSI lines.
