Overview

National Instruments supports the MATRIXx software suite in the hardware and software environments described in the following sections.

Software Requirements

Windows 2000/XP/NT (NT 4.0 service pack or later)
Sun Solaris 2.7 (or later)
  • MATRIXx has been tested with OpenWindows 3.x and Common Desktop Environment
  • Other X Windows-based window managers may work, however, their use is not supported

Hardware Requirements


Windows Host
  • Pentium III or equivalent processor (500 MHz recommended)
  • 64 MB of RAM (128 MB recommended)
  • Approximately 135 MB of disk space
UNIX Host
  • 128 MB of RAM (256 MB recommended)
  • 256 MB of swap space (384 MB recommended)
  • Approximately 340 MB of disk space

Compatible Compilers


Windows Host
  • C and C++: Microsoft Visual C/C++ version 6.0
  • Fortran: DIGITAL Visual Fortran version 6.0
UNIX Host
  • C and C++: SC 4.2
  • Fortran: SC 4.0
