atmospheric pressure
The measure of the ambient (static) pressure of the atmosphere, often measured in inches or mm of mercury. Millibar, another popular unit of atmospheric pressure, has in many countries been replaced by hectopascal (one hectopascal = one millibar). However, the SI correct unit is pascal.
