Overview

NI Ready-to-Run Measurements software programs have been designed so that scientists, engineers, technicians, and students taking basic measurements can benefit from NI measurement-quality data acquisition hardware without programming. You can use NI Ready-to-Run Measurements in Measurement Mode with NI data acquisition and signal conditioning hardware supported by either NI-DAQmx or NI-DAQmx Base software, or you can use them without hardware using Simulation Mode.

To use an NI Ready-to-Run Measurement, simply follow these steps:

  1. Download and install the LabVIEW 7.1 Run-Time Engine FREE
  2. Choose the NI Ready-to-Run Measurement that fits your application.
  3. Download the ZIP file for your Ready-to-Run Measurement and extract all files.
  4. If you wish to use the Ready-to-Run Measurement program in Measurement Mode with NI hardware, make sure your hardware and NI-DAQmx or NI-DAQmx Base software is installed.
  5. Run the .exe file and begin taking measurements!

If you discover you need more functionality than your Ready-to-Run Measurement provides, each ZIP file also contains example LabVIEW code that you can use to build your customized measurement solution!
