Overview

National Instruments Xmath is a mathematical analysis, visualization, and scripting software environment featuring a unique high-level, object-oriented programming language called MathScript. With features such as an interactive debugger, programmable graphical user interfaces, and an extensive library of predefined functions, your development time and effort greatly decreases.

Xmath features:

  • An interactive environment for numerical analysis, visualization, and control development
  • High-level, object-oriented scripting language
  • 700 predefined functions for mathematics, linear algebra, signal analysis, filter design, and more
  • Presentation-quality 2D and 3D graphics
  • Easy importation of algorithms developed in external languages

Description

National Instruments Xmath is a mathematical analysis, visualization, and scripting package. Complementing SystemBuild, another member of the MATRIXx product family, Xmath serves not only as an analytical tool but also as a working environment and visualization tool for simulation data. Xmath and SystemBuild run concurrently, so you can simultaneously edit SystemBuild models, perform Xmath analysis on SystemBuild simulations, and display presentation-quality 2D and 3D graphics.

MathScript, the Xmath programming language, provides unique object-oriented capabilities that facilitate design analysis. Xmath also offers an interactive debugger; a programmable graphical user interface (GUI) layer; and an extensive library of mathematical, system modeling, and analysis functions.

Xmath add-on modules extend core Xmath functionality with specialized functions and interactive wizards for applications including control algorithm development, system identification, optimization, signal analysis, and model reduction.
