Latest NI Technical Innovations in RF and Communications
National Instruments is leading the way to deliver solutions to validate and test RF and wireless devices with innovative new products that incorporate the latest in RF technology.
The National Instruments PXI-5650, PXI-5651, and PXI-5652 modules generate from 500 kHz to 1.3 GHz, 3.3 GHz, and 6.6 GHz, respectively. With these new signal generators, you can easily set up sophisticated stimulus-response or tracking-generator applications using the NI PXI-5660 RF vector signal analyzer and the National Instruments LabVIEW graphical development environment.
The new RF and microwave signal generators use direct digital synthesis (DDS) – a cost-effective technology that delivers flexible yet precise frequency control for high-resolution hopping or phase-continuous sweeping for fixture and device characterization applications. These signal generators are ideal for clocking nonstandard sample rates, such as WCDMA signals at baseband or intermediate frequency (IF). Additionally, with the versatility of the modules, you can perform analog and digital modulation through the onboard DDS circuit and take advantage of frequency modulation (FM) and frequency-shift keying (FSK) for applications such as bit error rate testing (BERT), antenna testing, and keyless entry.
