For CompactRIO systems, you can determine what versions of LabVIEW, the LabVIEW FPGA Module, the LabVIEW Real-Time Module, and the NI-RIO software work with the system. For CompactDAQ systems, you can determine what versions of NI-DAQ and LabVIEW work with the system.

NI-RIO version
I downloaded NI-RIO 2.0, to see if this was
a better sw for my PXI 7831R.
I was redirected to ni.com/info, and then to
a document describing versions parred with
hw products.
It seems that NI released a sw upgrade, that
works with no hw products
