Remote Front Panels
LabVIEW 6.1 introduces remote front panels, that allow users to view and control the VI front panels remotely from LabVIEW or from a web browser without any programming. This feature greatly expands the application because an operator can run an application from anywhere. In addition, several users at different locations all can access the VI simultaneously. Remote panel clients will see “live” updates to the VI front panel, as opposed to static images. There can be multiple clients simultaneously viewing the same front panel. However, only one client can control the front panel at a time. This presentation highlights this feature. A useful step by step handout is included in Microsoft Word format.
